北野天満宮『梅花祭』

今年は、例年になく暖冬でした。

京都では、まともが雪が降ったのが、1回きり？だったと思います。

さて、暖かくなってくると、まず考えるのが花見・・・ですか。

北野天満宮では、毎年2月25日に『梅花祭』が催されます。

今回は、『梅花祭』のおすすめや見どころについて掲載していきます。

梅花祭とは？

梅花祭

梅花祭は、菅原道真公の命日にあたる2月25日に催される祭典です。

道真公は、梅の花をこよなく愛した人物として有名ですが、そのことは、和歌でも詠われています。

東風吹かば にほいおこせよ 梅の花 主なしとて 春を忘るな

この詩には、道真公が失意のうちに大宰府へ左遷させられた時期に詠まれたとされており、

『京都に咲く梅の花よ 私がいなくても忘れずに咲いて欲しい。そして、大宰府まで香りを届けておくれ』

という意味になるようです。

梅花祭の日時

2月25日　午前5時半～17時半予定　梅花祭祭典は午前10時より本殿にて

梅花祭の日には、『梅花祭野点大茶湯』が催されます。

梅花祭野点大茶湯とは？

梅花祭野点大茶湯

梅花祭野点大茶湯は、昭和27年から始まった行事で、

北野天満宮に近い花街、上七軒の舞妓さん、芸妓さんがお茶を点て奉仕してくれます。

派手やかな舞妓さんや芸妓さんと、咲き誇る梅の花を愛でながら、

抹茶と和菓子を楽しむことが出来ます。

梅花祭野点大茶湯の日時

2月25日午前10時～15時　三光門前広場にて

但し、梅花祭野点大茶湯に参列するには、拝服、宝仏殿参拝、撤饌引換券の三連券を購入(1500円)する必要があります。

1月25日より販売されており、先着3000枚とのことです。

当日は、確実に売り切れている為、事前に購入する必要があります。

梅花祭・梅苑の見どころ

梅花祭・梅苑の見どころは、50種類、約1500本の梅になります。

北野天満宮の梅の一例

秋の紅葉と共に、ぜひ京都観光時には、見て頂きたいですね。

もちろん、私は地元ですが、見に行く予定です。
