先天性内反足～８年間の記録（まとめ）～

先天性内反足・・・

生まれてきた子供に先生がそうおっしゃいました。

その時は、初めて聴く言葉に、私も妻も何のことを言っているのか分かりませんでした。

子供を見てみると、足の甲の関節が内側に曲がっていました。

お医者様からは、

「このまま放って置けばまともに歩けなくなります・・・専門医を紹介します。」

私たちは、正直目の前が真っ暗になりました。

内反足の足

退院後すぐに専門医のいる病院へ

産婦人科を退院後すぐに先天性の内半足の専門医がいる病院に診察に行きました。

病院は、京都の日赤です。

先生の名前は日下部先生が、先天性の内反足の専門医です。

当時は、確か整形外科の部長さんだったと思いますが、現在は、日赤の院長さんになられています。

生まれて数日の赤ちゃんを抱いて、病院に入りました。

初見の診断は、やはり

「先天性の内反足」

という診断でした。

産婦人科の先生が言われたように放って置くとまともに歩けなくなるとのことです。

先天性の内反足になるには、様々な条件があるようなのですが、

お腹の中で、へその緒が絡まり、成長過程で足が曲がってしまうことが多いそうが、

実際のところ解明されていないそうです。

およそ1000人に１人の発生率で、男児に多く、約半数は両足で、

片足の場合は2:1で右側に多いという調査結果があるようです。

本当に珍しい病気のため、2回目の診療時には、研修医に囲まれました。

研修医の後学の為に見せてあげて欲しいとの事でしたが、

正直、ショックを受けてから時間もあまり経っていなかった為、

いい気持ちにはなれませんでした。

先生からは、

「これから大変だと思いますが、子供の為に頑張りましょう。きちんと治療すれば大丈夫です！！」

と言われたのを今でも覚えています。

出産直後の先天性内反足の治療方法

私たちがして頂いた先天性の内反足の治療方法は、

[br num=”1″] とにかく矯正
[br num=”1″] です。

内反足の治療方法

骨の柔らかい産後直後からできる限り早いうちに治療を開始することが大事とのことです。

生まれてから約半年程・・・大体捕まり立ちのできるころまでは、

両足をコルセットで巻いて足を正常な方向に固定することでした。

正直目をつぶりたくなる心境です。

知らない人から見れば、一体この子に何があったんだ・・・と思われても仕方ない程です。

生後約半年間で一番苦労したこと

足首を固定したコルセットは、定期的に交換しに病院に行くのですが、

コルセットをさせている間一番苦労したのは、

子供は、

自分で寝返りができない・・・

寝返りが出来ない

私たちは、

お風呂に入れるのがすごく大変・・・

だったと今では覚えています。

しかし、子供もたくましく育っていき、気づけば、寝返りができる状態になっていました。

足のコルセットは、石膏で固めるため、足の付け根まで固めるとかなり重たいのですが、

それに関係なく、数ヶ月たてば、寝返りができる状態になっていました。

今思えば、恐らく、一般の子供よりも足の筋肉が付いていたのではないかと思います。

生後約半年後の先天性内反足の治療方法

生後約半年が立てば、子供はつかまり立ちをします。

・・・ごめんなさい。4～5ヶ月だったかもしれません。

まもなく8年経つので記憶が曖昧なところは、ご了承ください・・・

その頃から、いよいよ足の装具を作っていきます。

内反足と装具

こんな感じです。

私たちがお願いしていた日赤では、整形外科と装具屋さんが提携をしていて、診察日には、必ず来ていました。

そして、先生監修の元、足の形に合わせて、装具を作っていきます。

ほとんどの整形外科では、そういった提携はあるかと思います。

装具の費用は、その子に合わせたオーダーメイドになるので、費用はかなり要します。

しかし、一時的な立て替えで、払ったお金は、ほとんど返ってきました。

つまり、補助が受けれるということです。

装具を履くとかなり歩きづらそうですが、これも自然と慣れてきます。

装具を履かしていて

先天性の内反足は、正しい方向へ足を固定するのが、治療方法になるのですが、

その為、常に装具を履かせる必要があります。

装具と内反足

内反足は、骨の異常により、本来の方向から違う方向に足が向いているため、

足の向きを矯正しなければいけません。

これは、足の成長が止まる成人までは、本来するのが正しいのですが、

なかなかそこまでできる人は少ないです。

現在では、子供もなかなか装具を履けていないのが現状です。

その理由は、後ほど掲載します。

赤ちゃんの間で、装具を履かしていて、大変な時期は、

やはり夏でしょう・・・

蒸れたり、装具の摩擦で、足がみみず腫れのようになります。

これには、さすがにかわいそうでした。

ですが、皮膚科で症状を見せれば、きちんとした薬をくれます。

妻も、かわいそうと思っていた様子でしたが、そこは、子供の将来のためと・・・

装具は、きちんと履かせていた様子でした。

装具以外でした治療

今まででした先天性の内反足での治療は、コルセット・装具（幼少期～小学校まででもちろん装具の形は変わります。）の他に、

一度、手術をしました。

私たちの子供の症状は、通常よりもきつく足が内側に曲がっていたため、装具だけでは、矯正に限界がありました。

手術方法としては、一旦足のアキレス腱を切って、足の向きを調整した後、再度つなげるという方法です。

聞いただけで痛々しくないですか・・・

子供は、体が小さい為、足部分だけの部分麻酔ができず、全身麻酔になります。

全身麻酔ということは、人工心肺を使う必要がある為、正直心配しました。

子供が5歳ごろだったと思います。

しかし、その頃には、先生との信頼関係もあったため、全面的にお願いしました。

術後は、症状も良くなりましたが、先生からは、

「成長の過程でどうしても足が内側に曲がる傾向がある為、状況によっては、将来再手術の必要があるかも」

といった答えでした。

現在、まもなく8歳になりますが、今のところは、順調です。

ですが、これから、成長期にも入るため、油断はできないと思いますが・・・

先天性内反足と8年間向かい合って

我が家では、共働きのため、子供は、1歳のときから保育園に入れていました。

保育園では、運動会ももちろんあります。

走ったり、飛んだり・・・

立ちます

先天性の内反足のお子様が生まれた方。

出産直後は、つらいと思います。私たちもそうでした。

ですが、治療をすれば、普通の生活はできます。

普通の生活といわずに、正直思いっきり走れるようになります！！！！

保育園では、もちろん運動会もあります。

走ったり、飛んだり・・・できるようになります！！！

運動会で、お友達と走ったりしている姿を見ていると、

「頑張ってよかった」と正直な気持ちで思えます。

太ももなどの基礎の筋肉がしっかりしている分、普通の子よりも足の踏ん張りは強いと思います。

先天性の内反足の治療は、簡単とは決して思いません。

実際に、私たち夫婦だけでなく、おじいさん・おばあさん等の家族の支えもありました。

今は、半年に1回ほどの定期健診を受けている状態です。

これからも、同じような経験をされている方に、いい情報があれば公開していきます。

    この病気だと気づいたのは昨日からでして、かなり泣いて過ごしていました。

    ただ、治療次第では回復することがあることが分かり、本当に勇気づけられました。これから1日も早く、治療にとりかかり子供とともに向き合っていこうと思います。

    この病気は、早いうちに治療したほうが絶対にいいです。
    大変なのは、２~３年です。小学生ごろになると他の子供と変わらなくなります。
    今日は、運動会がありましたが、お友達に負けない速さで走ってました。
    がんばってください。

    私の息子も現在、左足ですが内反足の治療中です。現在6歳、手術して丸5年経ちました。本人は昨年から他の子との違いに気付き初めましたが、まわりは彼の特徴について触れず、特に私を責めるわけでもなく、いつも明るく元気にしているのが救いです。

    先天性内反足の記録を残されたこと、このサイトは沢山の不安なお母さんやお父さんの強い希望になると思います。

    私の子供も両足の重度の内反足でした。
    当時は良い病院が自宅から電車とバスで乗り継いだ2時間ほどの場所にあり、時間も通勤時間帯だった為、周りの目が痛くとても辛い思いをしました。
    先生の話しでは、2000人に一人というポピュラーな病気である事を聞きましたが、私にとっては生まれてまもない子の足の手術をすると言うことは、それはもう一大事で、しかも当時は20年前…　ネットもそのころはあまり情報が無く、このように実際経験された方がネットに出してくれることで沢山の不安を抱えてる方々にとっては本当に救済になると思います。
    素敵なことをされたこと、本当に尊敬します。

    わが子ももう20歳になり、健常の方と変わらぬ見た目ではありますが、やはり長時間の立ち仕事や長時間の走ったり歩くことは苦手であります。
    特に社会に出たときの周りの理解を得れないということがこれからの課題としてどう周りに理解していただけるか…
    私も共にこれからまだまだ頑張らないといけないと痛感してる次第です。

    お子さんの写真を見て、あのころ頑張っていた気持ちを取り戻せました。本当にありがとうございます。

    我が子も右足が内反足で生まれました。
    今思えば重度だったんでしょう。
    現在は7歳、生後2ヶ月でアキレス腱を切る手術、5歳に再発しいくつもの腱や靭帯を切って伸ばす大きな手術をしました。
    今は片足だけ装具を寝るときにしています。後遺症で足首の柔軟性に欠けますがほとんど問題なく過ごしています❗
    むしろ運動が好きではないくせに、足は早い力は強い鉄棒が得意だ！
    親の私が言うのはあれですが、運動が得意でなんでもこなす万能選手のようです。
    器械体操を4歳からやっていますが、習ってきたものは全部できます❗
    今から息子の自慢をしちゃいます(笑)
    側転、三点倒立、ブリッジ歩き、ブリッジ回転、ハンドスプリング、逆立ち歩き、とびばこ8段、逆上がり、まだまだ色々できちゃいます！
    足が内反足だからといっても落ち込まないで大丈夫です！
    本人が一番大変です。
    でもママは誰にも誉められることはないんですよね。
    ママパパ良く頑張ってます！

    小学2年生の長男が先天性左内反足です。生まれてすぐからギプス矯正、3ヶ月にアキレス腱手術、その後ずっと装具で矯正してきました。重度の内反足で、足に痛みも出てきた為、病院の先生と相談して骨を削る大きな手術を6月中旬にしました。まだ入院中です。来月には退院する予定で、家族みんなで長男を応援して頑張っています！まだリハビリ中で歩けませんが、形がよくなった足を見て息子も喜んでいました(^^)同じ病気の子供たち、そのお母さんお父さん、一緒に頑張りましょうね！

    現在19歳です！私も昔先天性内反足で、京都の日赤の日下部先生に診てもらってました！治療中は小さかったこともあり、何が何だか覚えていないのですが（日下部先生がめちゃめちゃ優しかったことぐらい･_･;）、今回の記録を読ませていただき、どれだけ両親や、先生、周りの方などが自分のために動いてくれたかがよく分かりました！この記録は治療を受けた側にもとても勉強になると思います！
    今でも足首が痛かったりなどの症状が出ますが、治療の甲斐があって真っ直ぐに歩くことができますし、中高時代はテニスやソフトボールをやっていました！本当に感謝しかありません！
    子供さんが大きくなられた時には病名や詳しいことを教えてあげてください！
    これからも頑張ってください！

    先天性内反足で調べていたら、ここで出てきました！
    生後すぐ治療をし、アキレス腱も切る手術もしました。。3度の手術で左足はよくなったのですが、右足は重度と言われ、また手術をすると言われています。
    また手術をしないといけないのか、、
    手術をしないで治るのであれば
    手術をさしたくない。。
    とことん調べて納得したうえで
    手術をと考えています。
    病院は京都ですか？？一度行って話を聞いてみたいのですが、病院のこと詳しいこと教えていただけますか？

    私たちの子供は、1回目の手術を3年ほど前にしました。
    ただ、内反足の症状は、足の成長に伴い、再び内側に曲がるとも言われています。
    現在8歳になるので、まだ先は正直分からない状態です。お互い大変だと思いますががんばりましょう。
    ご質問の病院ですが、京都の第2日赤病院の日下部先生になります。
    当時は、整形外科の部長さんでしたが、今は院長先生をされています。
    大変人気のある先生ですので、毎回予約してから定期健診に言っている状態です。

    それから４０年も経っているので、内反足の治療やOP法がどう進化したのかはわかりませんが、よりいいものになっているものと思います。

    妊娠5ヶ月の時に赤ちゃんの両足内反足の診断を受けた妊婦です。
    まだ悪阻が酷くて、ご飯も食べられず、目が回って大変な時期でしたが、聞きなれない病名と今後の不安で死に物狂いでネットを検索していました。
    『軽度なら今の時期には分からない』とポロッと医師が口にされたもので、余計に不安で一生歩けないのでは、と赤ちゃんに謝ってばかりでした。
    頑張れば普通の生活を送れる可能性が分かり、生後すぐの治療を見据えて転院もすませました。
    今は赤ちゃんに出来ることは全てしてあげたいと前向きになり、赤ちゃんに会えるのが楽しみになりました。

    出生時に先天性内反足と診断され、産まれて５日目でギブス固定、先週からデニスブラウンの装具を１日２３時(入浴以外)間着けております。

    私は診断名も知らないまま、母親になりました。
    親から特に(たぶん)話もなく、

    小さい頃から、左右のふくらはぎの太さが違います。

    気になること、思うこともありますが、この投稿をよんで改めて、親からの愛と感謝の気持ちで、心がほんわかしました。
    なんか、生まれてから今までの生活などを振り返り、ゆっくりまとめていこうかなと思います。
