突発性発疹症（とっぱつせいほっしんしょう）はこんな病気

赤ちゃんの初めての発熱として多い病気

突然の高熱で発病して、熱が下がると同時に赤くて細かい発疹がパラパラでてきます。

2才ごろまでの乳幼児に特有の病気で、特に生後4～5ヵ月から1才までの時期に多く見られます。

生後初めての発熱がこの病気という赤ちゃんも多いことでしょう。

約90％は1才以下に発症し、1歳の時点ではほぼ100％の赤ちゃんが免疫を持っているとされます。

つまり、1才になるまでにはすでに感染しているということです。

感染はしていても症状が現れない不顕性感染も多いのです。

原因は主にヒトヘルペスウイルス6型（HHV-6）です。

人のだ液中に潜んでいることから、赤ちゃんに口移しや同じ食器で食べ物を与えることによって感染するのではないかとも考えられています。

HHV-6の他HHV-7やエコ-18というウイルスでも同様の症状が現れるため、突発性発疹症に何回かかかることもあります。

突発性発疹症はどんな症状がでるのか？

突然熱が出て、熱が下がると同時に発疹が現れる

突発性発疹症の症状

元気だった赤ちゃんが突然39～40度の高熱を出します。

鼻水やせきといった症状はほとんど見られません。

高熱にびっくりするかもしれませんが、熱のわりに赤ちゃんの機嫌は悪くなりません。

熱は高いまま3～4日続き、突然下がります。

それと同時か翌日あたりに、赤くて細かい発疹が、顔、おなかや背中などの体幹から出始めます。

かゆみはありません。

発疹は2～3日間は目立ちますが、徐々に茶色いしみになり、そのうち消えていきます。

熱の上がり始めのけいれんに注意！

熱の出始めに熱性けいれんを起こす赤ちゃんもいます。

初めてけいれんを起こしたときは、あわてず様子を観察し、落ち着いたらなるべくその日のうちに受診しましょう。

赤ちゃんによっては母乳やミルクの飲みが悪くなったり、夜泣きをすることもあります。

下痢や嘔吐を伴うケースも20％程度ありますが、ほとんどの場合4～5日で治ります。

突発性発疹症の治療とケアは？

まずは水分をたっぷり与え、安静に

高熱が出ている間は汗をかき、水分不足になりがちです。

こまめに水分を補ってあげましょう。

湯冷ましや麦茶などを少しずつ、何回にも分けて飲ませましょう。

熱が高いときは衣類を1枚減らしたり、寝具を薄いものに替えるなど、涼しく快適に過ごせるように工夫してください。

発疹が消えるまでは室内で安静に過ごし、発疹のあるうちは入浴を控えます。

熱が出たら、まず小児科へ

突発性発疹症との診断が確定するのは、熱が下がって発疹が出てからです。

この間は他の病気の可能性も否定できないので、ママの判断で、「生後初めての高熱＝突発性発疹症」と決めつけず、熱が出た時点で一度小児科へ行きましょう。
